What therapy builds toward

Four skill areas, one individualized plan

Every child's program starts with a comprehensive BCBA assessment, then targets the functional skills that matter most day to day — at home, at school, and in the community.

Functional Communication

Learning to express thoughts, feelings, and needs effectively — whether through spoken language, sign, gestures, or an AAC device. Sessions target requesting, protesting, and initiating conversation in ways that reduce frustration for the whole family.

Social & Peer Interaction

Building the foundations for cooperative play, turn-taking, joint attention, and reading social cues — the groundwork for lasting friendships at school and in the neighborhood.

Routine & Transition Mastery

Creating calm, predictable shifts between activities and settings — morning routines, drop-off, bedtime — by teaching flexibility and coping tools instead of relying on avoidance.

Daily Independence

Empowering self-care, safety awareness, and self-regulation skills — dressing, hygiene, and managing big emotions — that carry into every part of everyday life.

Our approach

How a plan comes to life

Care that adapts to your family — not the other way around, from first phone call through everyday progress.

01

Confirm Diagnosis & Referral

Insurance-funded ABA typically requires a formal Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis from a licensed provider. If you're not there yet, we'll help you understand the next step.

02

Request an Intake

Reach out and our intake process moves quickly, with as little wait as possible between your first call and getting started.

03

BCBA Assessment

A deep-dive evaluation of communication, social play, and daily routines — including caregiver interviews and direct observation, not a checklist.

04

Individualized Treatment Plan

A roadmap with measurable goals, built around your child's strengths, motivation, and your family's priorities.

05

In-Home Sessions & Care Coordination

Behavior Technicians deliver 1:1 therapy under ongoing BCBA supervision, while we coordinate with schools and other providers for consistency across settings.

06

Ongoing Monitoring & Parent Partnership

Data-driven progress reviews, regular updates, and continued parent training to help skills generalize and stick at home.

Parent training, in depth

You're not handed a binder — you're coached

Parent training isn't an add-on at Together We Grow ABA — it's built into every plan from day one, because skills that only show up in session don't change daily life. Here's what that actually looks like week to week.

01

Real-Time Coaching

Parents and caregivers join sessions to practice strategies alongside the Behavior Technician, getting live feedback in the moment — not just after the fact.

02

Take-Home Tools

Visual schedules, reinforcement systems, and step-by-step guides tailored to your specific home, routines, and family members.

03

Progress Reviews

Regular BCBA check-ins to walk through the data together, celebrate what's working, and adjust goals as your child grows.

04

Support Between Sessions

Direct access to your clinical team for questions as they come up — a tough morning or a new behavior doesn't have to wait for the next visit.

A decade of behavioral health experience, grounded in partnership

With over ten years of experience in behavioral health, Eliron Shamalov brings both clinical depth and a community-focused approach to Together We Grow ABA. Eliron holds a Master of Science in Education and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in New York.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Straightforward answers, so you can decide what's right for your family.

What is ABA therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically validated approach that studies how behavior interacts with the environment, using positive reinforcement to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

Do you provide therapy in our home?

Yes. Sessions take place in the family home across New York City, including Forest Hills, so skills are built in the environment where your child actually lives.

Who runs the therapy sessions?

Trained Behavior Technicians deliver one-on-one sessions under the direct, ongoing supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, who designs and adjusts the plan.

Do you offer parent training?

Yes — ongoing parent training is part of every plan, so new skills carry over into everyday routines at home, school, and in the community. It includes live in-session coaching, take-home tools, and regular progress reviews with your BCBA.

What does a parent training session actually look like?

You're an active part of the session, not an observer — practicing the same strategies your Behavior Technician uses, in real time, with in-the-moment feedback so you feel confident using them on your own between visits.

How is progress tracked?

Every session includes data collection on target goals. Your BCBA reviews this data on a regular basis and shares it with you, so you always know what's working and what's changing next.

What is a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA)?

An FBA is a structured evaluation used to understand what a behavior communicates and why it happens, which then informs an individualized treatment plan.

Do you accept insurance?

Insurance acceptance varies by plan. Contact Together We Grow ABA directly to verify your specific coverage before starting services.
